The sanitising kit contains two empty quick-change cartridges, one empty remineralisation cartridge and four Milton sterilising tablets.
Sanitise the system every six months before fitting new filters.
How to sanitise Osmio Zero
- Open the water-tank lid and leave it open. Remove the tank, then drain all filtered water from the machine.
- Carefully remove all four filters: the tank’s sediment filter, carbon filter, reverse osmosis membrane and remineralisation filter.
- Fit the three empty cartridges from the sanitising kit. The kit does not include a sediment-filter replacement.
- Fill the tank with 2.5 litres of water — no more. Refit it, add two Milton tablets and leave the lid open. Wait five minutes for the tablets to dissolve.
- If the machine requests a water change while more than 2 cm remains in the tank, open and close the lid until the level drops to about 2 cm. Dispense 250 ml, then close the lid and wait for filtration to finish.
- Leave the sanitising solution to work for 15–30 minutes.
- Open the tank lid and drain all sanitising solution from the machine.
- Open the tank lid and drain all sanitising solution from the machine.
- Remove and thoroughly rinse the tank. Fit a new sediment filter, leaving the other empty sanitising cartridges in place. Fill the tank with 2.5 litres of water and run it through the system. Repeat four times: 4 × 2.5 litres in total.
- Remove all three empty sanitising cartridges and fit the new replacement filters.
- Prepare the new filters as you did when first setting up the system. Flushing with two full tanks of water is recommended.
